How to crack the interviews in order to switch to BA from different Profile (Say Banking)?
Personal Experience is Appreciable.

Step 1: Set the goal to become a Business Analyst.
Step 2: Become familiar with what it means to be a Business Analyst.
Step 3: Analyze your current work experience.
Step 4: You are a specialist in something already.

Erase your past working experience (if you are from a different stream).
IT industry is a world of ocean. The more you dive in, still you will have a long way to go.
-->So, basically first try to understand what happens in and out of a project execution. Ask few friends and try to get exactly what they do. Not only a BA, but who are involved in the project, how many people, how do they execute, who drives in and etc..
-->These are some of the concepts that need more focus on : Brush up on the BA roles and responsibilities, agile & scrum (the most important area for a BA), flowcharts, user stories and acceptance criteria, how to capture requirements, they give some situations in scrum models and expect on how well you handle them etc.
-->Communication skills -- Might not be how fantastic you are verbally on, but how well you present something.

Hope this helps..!!

Primarily it's important to learn the necessary BA skills in order to see whether or not this is actually your game or not. If you can hone up your skills to retrieve information from businesses and formulate them into proper documentation, then your first level of affiliation to the IT sector as a BA will not be that difficult. Although on-the-job learning still is considered as a best possible platform for learning, having a heads up on your duties and expectations will help you in getting into the action early.
