The requirements gathered by BA are sorted, prioritized and validated using various techniques. Then the requirements are divided into functional and non-functional requirements. Functional requirements correspond to the technical aspects of the project whereas non-functional requirements correspond to the overall functionality of the project. some of the non-functional requirements are:
1. web page loading time
2. strong security of the web page to not allow hackers and
3. Avoiding data breaching

Non Functional Requirement means any requirement which specifies how the system performs a certain function.
In other words, a non-functional requirement will describe how a system should behave and what limits there are on its functionality.

Non-functional requirements generally specify the system’s quality attributes or characteristics, for example:
Typical non-functional requirements include:

·         Performance – for example: response time, throughput, utilization, static volumetric

·         Scalability

·         Capacity

·         Availability

·         Reliability

·         Recoverability

·         Maintainability

·         Serviceability

·         Security

·         Regulatory

·         Manageability

·         Environmental

·         Data Integrity

·         Usability

·         Interoperability

Non Functional Requirements capture that does not directly relate to the behavior or functionality of the solution, but rather describe environmental conditions under which the solution must remain effective or qualities that the system has.

All these come under Non Functional Requirements:

Security ? Does your product store or transmit sensitive information? Does your IT department require adherence to specific standards? What security best practices are used in your industry?

Capacity ? What are your system?s storage requirements, today and in the future? How will your system scale up for increasing volume demands?

Compatibility ? What are the minimum hardware requirements? What operating systems and their versions must be supported?

Reliability and Availability ? What is the critical failure time under normal usage? Does a user need access to this all hours of every day?

Maintainability  + Manageability? How much time does it take to fix components, and how easily can an administrator manage the system? Under this umbrella, you could also define Recoverability and Serviceability.

They are also know as quality or supplementary requirements. These can include requirements related to capacity, speed, security, availability and the information architecture and presentation of the user interface.

If we think of functional requirements as those that define what a system is supposed to do, non functional requirements  define constraints which affect how the system should do it.
Types of non functional requirement are :
Capacity
Security
Compatibility
Reliability and Availability
Maintainability
Usability
Performance

Non functional requirements are the requirements which do not have functionalities (such as login pages , registrations , submitting etc)
these requirements are general requirements (such as login page should load for 2 sec )

Non-functional requirements or NFRs are a set of specifications that describe the system?s operational capabilities and constraints and attempt to improve its functionality. These are basically the requirements that outline how well it will operate including things like speed, security, reliability, data integrity, etc.

Non-functional requirements specify the quality attributes of the system, hence their second name ? quality attributes.

Key types of non-functional requirements.

- Performance and scalability
- Portability and compatibility
- Reliability, maintainability, availability
- Security
- Localization
- Usability

Non-Functional Requirements in business analytics include:

1. Security: Requirements for data security, authentication and authorization, and access control.

2. Scalability: Requirements for system scalability, including storage, processing, and data throughput.

3. Availability: Requirements for system availability and reliability.

4. Performance: Requirements for system performance, including response time and throughput.

5. Usability: Requirements for user interface design, user experience design, and user-friendliness.

6. Interoperability: Requirements for integrating data and systems across different formats, platforms, and technologies.

7. Compliance: Requirements for regulatory compliance and data privacy.

Basically Non functional requirement are those requirements which  is not mandatory to perform for the system to get a solution but is important to check the product /solution?s quality, performance & other factors.

It helps to satisfy customers. Following are some example of non-functional requirements .
1)Speed
2)Security
3)Portability
4)Compatibility
5)Capacity
6)Reliability
7)Enviornment
8)Usability

Non functional requirements are not the features or functionalities which a system should posses but the environment which is necessary for the said features or functionalities to work as expected . These can be related to security , capability ,compatibility , environment , speed etc

Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs) define system attributes such as security, reliability, performance, maintainability, scalability, and usability. They serve as constraints or restrictions on the design of the system across the different backlogs. Non-Functional Requirements are the constraints or the requirements imposed on the system.
