What are the important certification that can add value for a BA?

Could you pls mention the certifications that are helpful for this Role with pros and cons of each.

In general, there are many certifications which will add value to the BA, based on their domain experience which they are currently working on. They could be like below

From Banking Domain

ACAMS - Associates of certified Anti Money Laundering Specialists
CII
FPSB India etc..

For Healthcare Domain

Academy for Healthcare (AHM 250)
American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE)
American Society for Quality
DICOM etc..

For Insurance Domain

INS-21, INS-22 and INS-23 etc..

But as BA is domain independent and Technology Independent it is recommended to do Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) which will be three and half hour exam based on the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) which has to be passed.

Pre Requirements to attend the exam is

Applicants must have at least 5 years experience as a business analyst, with verifiable 7500 hours of Business Analysis hands-on experience: recorded against individual projects and specific BA activities.
