Business Analyst has got a lot do with the documentation. Therefore, the basic tools that Business Analyst uses are all the Microsoft Office tools - Excel, word, powerpoint, Access.
Flow chart tools - iGrafx, MS visio, etc.,
Data Visualization tools - Power BI, TABLEAU.
Requirement Gathering Tools - BRD, FRD, SSD.
Other Tools - SQL, PL SQL, etc.
Wireframe - BALSMIQ
Prototype- AXURE

- MS Visio to draw UML diagrams
- MS Word for documentation purposes
- MS Excel to draw RACI Matrix
- JIRA in case of Agile methodologies
- Balsamiq for wireframing
- Axure for prototyping
- MS Teams to interact with the Stakeholders
- SQL, Power BI, TABLEAU are some other tools used

There are number of tools used in business analyst but there some tools which is used frequently used are  :
1.micro soft word o f the
most of the work we do as business analyst is documentation for documenting ms word is best tool to use.
2.ms visio for the purpose of use case diagram.
3.balsamiq is one the major used tools and mostly used for wire frames and mock ups.
4.axure  is used for prototyping
5.ms excel for graphs which is used for time against work in burn down chart.
6.jira in agile
and some  other tools which is in uses sql,power BI,tableau

Fundamentally, a business analyst needs the best business analysis tools to perform the following functions:
1.   To track requirements
2.   To manage the requirements
3.   To describe requirements in detail
4.   Business process diagram ?To model requirements diagrammatically wherever feasible such as Business Process diagram
5.   To collaborate with teams and stakeholders

Types of Business Analysis Tools:
There are three major categories of different types of tools on the basis of the above-mentioned functions. In the next section, we will explain those categories ?
1.   Requirement-related tools i.e. to describe, manage, and track requirements

3.   Rational Requisite Pro: Rational Requisite Pro is a business analysis tool for requirements management.
4.   Balsamiq: Balsamiq is a business analysis tool for creating wireframes
5.   SWOT: SWOT is a business analysis tool used to perform strategic and thus evaluate a business
6.   Pencil: Pencil is a prototyping tool used to create quick prototype to get confirmation from client on the requirements
7.   Trello: Trello is  a collaboration tool used to collaborate and communicate between teams and share information securely
8.   SmartDraw: SmartDraw as business analysis tool that is used for project management
9.   Wrike: Wrike is a business analysis tool that is used for real-time work management
10.   Version One: Version One is a business analysis tool with integration capability with enterprise applications and software development tools
